2026 Workshop Series: December

Tarot Poetics: Intuition as Guide, Spell and Medicine
facilitated by Leila Ortiz
Monday, December 14, 2026
7-9pm EST
Zoom

the workshop:

In this workshop, we will use tarot as a tool to generate poems. This process will allow us to tap into Spirit and other ways of knowing. Through the use of tarot as prompt, we will connect to our intuition and become open to the medicine of the card's message. This way of generating poems is more about experiencing magic than perfecting a text. Our poems will become spells, perhaps surprising us by telling a story counter to one we’ve believed our whole lives, or maybe they’ll reveal the challenge we are faced with in this moment, or become keys to our desire, portals to new understandings. We will start the workshop with a tuning in/meditation, then pull a card for the overall energy of the workshop, and generate discussion using the card as a prompt. What are symbols in the card and what do they mean to you? What emotions, energies does the card evoke? What came to mind when you first saw this card? A memory? A wish? What are we going to collectively manifest during our time together?
